The chemical composition and physical properties of medium temperature asphalt make it an ideal choice for manufacturing these products. It is also a raw material for producing carbon black, blended oil, asphalt coke, delayed coke, and modified asphalt. Used as a binder for carbon electrodes and electrolytic aluminum anodes; used as a binder for producing batteries and refractory materials.
