PSA Medical Oxygen Generator Principle

The FBO series PSA oxygen generator is an automatic equipment which separates oxygen from air. According to the performance of molecular sieve, its adsorption occurs when pressure rises and desorption when pressure is released. Nitrogen molecules have a faster diffusion rate in the molecular sieve, while oxygen molecules have a slower diffusion rate. Oxygen molecules are enriched at the end of the absorption tower. The generator is constructed according to the principle of PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) and utilizes two absorption towers filled with molecular sieve. While one tower produces oxygen, the other releases nitrogen gas to the atmosphere in a cyclic process controlled by PLC.
