Small Medical Oxygen Generation Plant

Oxygen Generation Plant

PSA Medical Oxygen Generator Principle

The FBO series PSA oxygen generator is automatic equipment that separates oxygen from air based on the performance of molecular sieves. It utilizes adsorption when pressure rises and desorption when pressure is reduced. Nitrogen molecules have a faster diffusion rate through the molecular sieve, while oxygen molecules are enriched at the end of the absorption tower. The system consists of two towers filled with molecular sieves controlled by a Siemens PLC. While one tower produces oxygen, the other releases nitrogen into the atmosphere in a continuous cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the working principle of the PSA oxygen generator?
The system uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology where air is passed through a molecular sieve. Nitrogen is adsorbed under pressure while oxygen passes through, providing a high-purity supply.
What purity of oxygen can this plant produce?
Our medical oxygen plants typically produce oxygen at a purity level of 93% (+/- 2%), which is suitable for most medical and industrial applications.
How long does the system take to start up and reach target purity?
The start-up time is exceptionally fast, taking approximately 30 minutes to achieve the desired oxygen purity after being switched on.
What is the expected lifespan of the molecular sieves?
The Zeolite Molecular Sieves are designed for long-term use, with an expected lifespan of more than 10 years, minimizing maintenance costs.
Is the operation of the oxygen generator fully automatic?
Yes, the system is controlled by a Siemens PLC, allowing for fully automatic, unattended operation and adjustment according to demand.
What information is needed for a customized quotation?
To provide a prompt quotation, we require the O2 flow rate (Nm3/hr), required purity, discharge pressure, and your local voltage/frequency requirements.
